From Seagrass Trading Co. to Floorspace
Our story began in 1974 in a small shopfront on High Street, Prahran. Back then, we were Seagrass Trading Company — specialists in natural fibre matting and early pioneers in bringing sustainable materials to Australian homes.
As design tastes evolved, so did we. We partnered with leading global suppliers to create high-quality, four-metre-wide rolls of sisal, coir and seagrass, moving beyond tiles into the world of natural flooring as we know it today.
With that evolution came a new name: Floorspace.
